At the base of Cleeve Hill and only four miles from Cheltenham, Bishops Cleeve has existed as a village since the 8th Century and was once owned by the Bishop of Worcester to whom its Tithes were paid.

Since then, and especially in the last twenty years, the community has grown considerably in size to take the title of Gloucestershire's Largest Village. It is now served by two large supermarkets, a large convenience store and a surprisingly diverse selection of independent shops and businesses, including an excellent range of cafes and takeaways.

Shoppers may be surprised at the breadth and diversity of the products on offer, making that trip further afield not quite as necessary as you might think!

With its colourful and clear presentation and helpful descriptions, the Bishops Cleeve on-line Shopping Guide provides all the practical help for shopping in this well-served community.
